Our area of Financial Communicationwith the support of our partner Hallon, has carried out a qualitative and quantitative study based on the perception of: entrepreneurship, the promotion of third-party projects that contribute to the growth of the crypto-economy, the promotion of knowledge and training in the sector, and influence in the media and social networks.

As a result of this study, we present the biggest influencers of the crypto ecosystem in Spain at the end of 2022. They are the experts of the change of financial paradigm, precursors of decentralised finance, from different professional fields such as engineers, lawyers, economists, analysts, united by the interest of promoting entrepreneurship, innovation and an inclusive financial culture, an environment that allows each person to empower themselves and govern their money. They recognise that the ecosystem is in need of a purge so that transparency and regulation can underpin trust in this market.

1.- Jesús Pérez Sánchez, founder of Crypto plaza

Promoter of the largest crypto economy hub in Southern Europe, Crypto Plaza, a community created with the aim of becoming a global reference in the Crypto Assets and Blockchain sector, leading the Spanish-speaking market, from where Pérez contributes to new startups feeding the crypto ecosystem. Co-founder and first president of the Spanish Association of Fintech and Insurtech, this computer engineer, with an honours degree in Artificial Intelligence and a lover of classical guitar, stands out for his extensive experience as a technical stock market analyst, expert in Quantitative Trading and entrepreneur of projects such as Financialred, IAsesoria, Ahorro.net, Bolsa.com, Sersan Sistemas, Fintech Ventures and Roble Venture Capital, among others.

He is currently one of the main representatives of Spain in the main international financial innovation events linked to the crypto ecosystem, @speculation with more than 12,000 followers on Twitter and a network of around 18,000 professionals on LinkedIn. In his opinion, "The logic of innovation eventually prevails. It is difficult to ignore competitive advantages at the personal, corporate and, ultimately, state level. Europe is preparing to embrace crypto. We are now seeing a change in the discourse of many of the people who dismissed it as a scam or as a speculative phenomenon or for personal enrichment. It was probably one of the biggest strategic mistakes any innovation manager in the financial sector could have made".

2.- Leif Ferreira, CEO and co-founder of Bit2Me 

Fullstack engineer, founder of Bit2Me. Bit2Me is a leading Spanish platform for Digital Assets, with more than 250 employees, 5 million users in around 200 countries, more than 150 cryptocurrencies available. More than 16,000 followers are witnessing the evolution of Bit2Me. In addition, this promoter of open financial systems is an advisor to the European Blockchain Committee (Brussels) and winner of the Fintech Americas hackathon in 2015 (Miami, FL). He is a benchmark as an industry player, leading the first platform registered by the Bank of Spain as a provider of virtual currency exchange and e-wallet custody services.

One of the pioneering initiatives promoted by the firm has been the "Bit2Me Academy" for institutions and retail investors. 4.- Miguel Caballero, Founder and CEO of Tutellus

Industrial Engineer and MBA from IE Business School. His life has always been linked to technological entrepreneurship. Co-founder of Quoba, Neomedia and MET, Caballero received the 2007 award for Best Entrepreneur of the Year (mobility sector) from the Ministry of Industry.  @mcaballero has almost 16,000 followers on Linkedin and more than 8,100 on Twitter, through his personal website  https://miguelcaballero.euHe tells about his projects: since 2020, he participates as co-founder in crypto companies such as Turin Labs, Redpill Ventures, Reental, Nash21, CryptoKuantica, FITtoken, Poesia.io.

Its main bastion as a disseminator of cryptoeconomics and asset tokenisation is Tutellus. It was born as an educational platform (it has trained more than 90,000 people in the crypto ecosystem and more than two million people in new disciplines covering specialisations in the Blockchain environment, Artificial Intelligence, cryptoeconomics, web applications and digital marketing, in the form of bootcamps).

Tutellus has evolved into a community that promotes the funding of crypto companies through a venture builder. Miguel is proud to get funding to grow the crypto ecosystem. "Anyone who wants to enter the crypto industry comes to us through training, we help them develop their project and even invest in it, to go from idea to company. 5.- Ángel Alexis Bautista Sánchez-Grande,  founder and CEO of Conquer Crypto

Known as Alexis Bautista, founder of "Conquer Crypto", an educational platform specialising in the cryptocurrency ecosystem, NFTs and Blockchain development. As he defines "was born with the idea of helping our students to become cryptocurrency investors who know how to learn about crypto and blockchain, no matter what level they start from. On Instagram, @alexis_crypto has more than 95,000 followers and videos on his Youtube channel that together exceed one million views.

He stands out for his eagerness to excel from an early age, at the age of 11 he was already interested in technological development and at 21 he is one of the most recognised entrepreneurs in the industry, already involved in the creation and launch of decentralised projects.

6.- Cristina Carrascosa, lawyer and founding partner of ATH21

Specialist in Blockchain and cryptoassets, she has developed her professional career in international law firms such as Cuatrecasas, Broseta or Pinsent Masons, where she created and led the Crypto/Fintech practice worldwide. She is a partner at ATH21, the first law firm specialising in legal services for crypto-asset companies.

@ATH21cripto has 39,000 followers on Twitter and is one of the women leading the podium of experts as part of the original team of the Blockchain Observatory, a working group created by the EU for the practical and legislative development of Blockchain technology. Co-author of "Blockchain: The Industrial Revolution of the Internet", "They: Challenges, Opportunities and Threats in a Connected World", and "Disruptive Technologies, Regulating the Future". She is director of the Blockchain Programme at IE Law School.

7.- Marcos Muñoz, founder of Bitnovo

Founder of Bitnovo and Bitsa. Muñoz is a computer engineer, business angel with more than 20 years of experience; with a successful career creating companies in the universe of new technologies and decentralised finance. During this time he has developed projects around Blockchain, the Fintech ecosystem, specifically visionary in the field of cryptoassets and cybersecurity.

Its greatest achievement has been to give the European population access to cryptocurrencies in an easy and unbanked way. 8.- Javier Molina Jordà, crypto analyst

Economist, financial consultant, expert in digital assets. @Molina_Jorda is considered the most relevant media influencer given his wide range of collaborations in the media and events in the sector in which he leads the information on the crypto market, Blockchain, digital assets, etc. Regular contributor to El Confidencial, Finect, Estrategias de Inversión and Intereconomía. With more than 8,200 followers on Twitter. For more than ten years he was head of Equity Derivatives at Société Générale US and Spain. Strong advocate of training before making any kind of crypto investments as he proclaims through the media and events he leads.

9.- Joaquim Matinero Tor, Banking-Financial & Blockchain lawyer at Roca Junyent

Lawyers specialising in Banking-Financial & Blockchain law are an exotic element within the legal sector. Matinero Tor has positioned itself as a benchmark in these specialities with a proven track record in advising companies in the FinTech, Blockchain and eSports sectors. He plans to continue working and communicating on the challenges of the sector, which will be mainly: the creation of a secure regulatory framework, the entry of traditional investors into a disruptive ecosystem, and the creation or explosion of new business models, for example, linked to eSports, digital assets linked to the luxury sector, as well as the creation of new worlds ("Metaverses").

Puig has been programming since he was 16 years old, and nine years ago he began to develop Blockchain technology. His dissemination facet led him to organise events for several years that allowed him to give lectures to the European Union and the United Nations to explain what it is and its potential in different areas, such as finance.

Along the way he founded Alastria, the first national semi-public Blockchain platform. 11.- Covadonga Fernández, director of Observatorio Blockchain

If we talk about pioneering women in the sector, Covadonga Fernández is a reference. Founder and director of Observatorio Blockchain, created to follow the decentralisation process of the cultural and creative industries with Blockchain as a disruptive technology.

Specialist in Blockchain consultancy (Web3, NFTs and metaverses), @CuadraLabwith 20,945 followers on LinkedIn and more than 5,000 on Twitter, is a journalist by training, organiser of numerous events related to the crypto/Blockchain space, and has worked in various media outlets. Among them, Grupo Z and ABC newspaper. DIRCOM of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce and president of Telemadrid. Co-founder of Metasistant and responsible for the media and Blockchain lab located in the Decentraland metaverse.

12.- Alberto Fernández, IEB Professor

A software engineer and business developer, he has stood out during the year for his contribution of knowledge through the media, from the IEB, where he is part of the Blockchain and Digital Innovation expert faculty.

@albefero has more than ten years of IT experience as a technology trainer and consultant, and started working with Blockchain related technologies in 2014.
