Principles. Ray Dalio. An extraordinary work in which Dalio describes the unique principles that have underpinned his career since he founded Bridgewater Associates in 1975, making it the fifth largest company in the USA. Admitting and facing reality, pursuing goals in concrete steps, being radically open-minded, improving relationships with others and learning to make effective decisions are the keys that Dalio offers us through the story of his experiences, failures and successes.

Factfulness. Hans Rosling. Very inspiring book and, above all, very clarifying of the real situation in the world. Through the data, we discover that the economic and social reality of the world is much better than we think, which does not mean that there is no cause for concern or issues in need of urgent improvement. Our problem is that we are unaware of what we do not know, and even when we are informed we are driven by unconscious and predictable biases.

Weapons and letters. Andrés Trapiello. This work offers a free, detailed and comprehensive look at literature in the Spanish Civil War. Hundreds of writers parade through these pages in very entertaining and sharp portraits, the famous and the unknown, the audacious and the cowardly, the persecuted and the persecutor, the activist and the silent or silenced, the old and the young, all seeking for themselves and for their time a salvation that was not always possible.

AI - Superpowers. Kai-Fu Lee. Kai-fu Lee (one of the world's most respected experts on AI and China) argues powerfully that due to the unprecedented development in Artificial Intelligence, the world will experience major changes in the coming years. Indeed, as competition in this field grows between Americans and Chinese, Lee urges the US and China to accept and assume the great responsibilities that will come with significant technological power. Regarding the job change ahead, Lee offers a clear description of what jobs will be affected (and when), what jobs can be enhanced with AI, and most importantly, how we can provide solutions to some of the most profound changes in human history that lie ahead.

Chronicle of the bird that winds the world. Haruki Murakami. A fast-paced novel with an obvious Japanese style in which, through a series of delirious characters and inexplicable situations, the protagonist, a young man who suddenly finds himself completely alone in the world, struggles to discover the meaning of his own existence and what it is that transcends our lives.

The shadow of the father. Jan Dobraczynski. A fictionalised biography of Joseph of Nazareth, in which the author undertakes the task of reconstructing Joseph's life and the environment in which he developed, taking as a reference the points in the Gospel in which St Joseph is mentioned and the vast literary material of the time.
