Quum Comunicación obtains Eventsost ADVANCED sustainability certification

Certificación Eventsost ADVANCED

This certificate accredits its advanced capacity for the organisation and production of more sustainable events.

The Quum agency has obtained the ADVANCED certification awarded by Eventsost, which accredits its advanced capacity for the organisation and production of more sustainable events. Eventsost's ADVANCED certification supports its commitment to sustainability and recognises its expertise in event sustainability.

Quum Comunicación has achieved this certificate and has managed to apply all its knowledge in sustainability so that the ROCHE IT event is certified as a sustainable event. It also becomes the first agency to achieve this certificate for a corporate event.

The agency has demonstrated its advanced capacity for the production and development of more sustainable events thanks to its waste management; sustainable consumption of materials; sustainability applied to catering and restoration; sustainable mobility and transport; optimisation of water consumption; evaluation and selection of more sustainable spaces; communication of event sustainability to stakeholders; energy efficiency, calculation of the carbon footprint of events; selection of more sustainable accommodation and restoration; socio-economic aspects of events; promotion of the positive economic impact of the event; accessibility and organisation of its operations.

In the words of Raúl Valiente, event production manager at Quum Comunicación, "this certificate has been achieved thanks to the use of LED technology. In addition, all the structures used were not built for the event, i.e. the structures were reusable. The furniture was not built for the event either, but was rented from furniture rental companies". In addition, he adds, "all materials were separated for recycling: plastics, packaging, etc. and all waste was separated for recycling. In addition, the water that was served was bottled in glass, and we have managed to reduce the carbon footprint with the use of the buses and the electricity consumption that has been generated. Once this certificate has been received, "Quum is in a position to certify as sustainable events all the events it organises, maintaining these sustainability criteria", Valiente points out.

The ROCHE IT Emission Offset Certificate has offset the emission of 2,860 tonnes of CO2. The offsetting was carried out through the project "Conservation of the Amazon in Madre de Dios in Peru".

The ROCHE IT event is an event for internal staff. It is held annually in Madrid at the beginning of the summer. The event is structured in four areas: incentives, work, team building and final party. During the event, both internal and external presentations were given by the different areas of the company.
