Looking for funding, mentoring or networking for your impact project?

The Quum Live team is helping Found Summit to organise this event which will take place on the 25th and 26th of October in Madrid. Because at Quum, we have extensive experience in the field of social impactWe are proud to work for the first international meeting that aims to create the largest ecosystem around philanthropy and impact projects. Aimed at foundations, philanthropic projects, corporations, experts in philanthropy, CSR and impact projects, investment funds and society in general. It has a large panel of fellows as Patricia Rato, patron saint of the Father Arrupe Foundation o Margarita Espino of the European Commission.

Found Summit wants to join the real #changemakers and launches the first Elevator Pitch Contest so that many projects can get the help they need (funding, networking,...) to get started or to make a lasting impact. The selected finalists will receive a significant grant to further develop their project or make it a reality. In addition, all participants will be able to open up mentoring opportunities and exposure to potential investors and partners.

We support the awareness campaign of the Jérôme Lejeune Foundation: #UnNiñoComoYo (#UnChildLikeMe)

We are excited to do our bit and to raise awareness of the new Jérôme Lejeune Foundation. We are delighted to work for you and help you achieve your goals with the campaigns.

The Foundation is the legacy of Dr. Lejeune who discovered trisomy 21, the cause of Down's Syndrome. Its purpose is to provide comprehensive, scientifically based care for people with intellectual disabilities of genetic origin. To this end, it works on three pillars: promoting research, generating specialised medical care and defending the human dignity of the most vulnerable.

Within this framework of protecting the lives of the most vulnerable, in collaboration with Ana's family, who made a video for her cousin Lucía, a medical student for a project for her faculty, we wanted to help get her message across to the medical and scientific community in Spain and the rest of society. Because their work is key: from the way they give the diagnosis to parents before birth, to their work in medical care throughout their lives, to research to improve their quality of life, not staying out of clinical trials.

Thus, with the aim of providing comprehensive and scientifically based care for people with intellectual disabilities of genetic origin, from the Jêróme Lejeune Foundation have launched the #UnNiñoComoYo campaign - help us spread the word!

Help us support our health workers

The Spanish Institute of Resilience, in collaboration with the Official College of Doctors of Madrid and the Humanae Foundation, have created the Psychological Intervention Programme on Pandemic Fatigue for Health Care Workers. The aim is to provide psychological support to those on the front line of care for COVID-19 patients. The 60% of healthcare personnel suffer from pandemic fatigue, which is a great emotional drain due to all the suffering accumulated in these 2 years of the pandemic. They are in a vulnerable situation, many suffer from depression, anxiety or post-traumatic stress disorder, with a considerable increase in the consumption of psychotropic drugs, and feel obliged to continue providing care at their workplace.

From Quum, within our policy to collaborate with organisations that want to change the world, we want to be a loudspeaker for this campaign. You can help in three different ways:

In addition, it is necessary that we all support our health workers, giving visibility to the reality that they experience on a daily basis. 3.- Be a loudspeaker and share this prevention programme. As our proverb says: "One grain does not make a barn, but it helps its companion".

Will you support us in the communication of the Protos Solidarity Toast?

The 7th edition of the Protos "Brindis Solidario" (Solidarity Toast) is starting. Its aim is to support all those solidarity actions of non-profit organisations that provide a benefit for the Spanish society. And once again this year, we want to support our customer to publicise this solidarity award. Because purpose is key at Quum and we are committed to projects and social purposes that we try to promote such as the Jerome Lejeune Foundation or with the programme Acumen Fellows.

About Brindis Solidario Protos

The deadline for submitting applications is 21 March. The winning project will receive a cash prize of 10,000 euros to help finance the project.

The public will be in charge of choosing the winning action from 28 March to 31 May. For more information: www.brindissolidarioprotos.com.

Do you want to know in detail who was the winning project of the previous edition?

In last year's edition, the winner was the Noelia Foundation and his project "Natural History, Diagnosis and Treatment of Congenital Muscular Dystrophies due to Collagen VI Deficiency: CRISPR-Cas9".

Congenital Muscular Dystrophy due to collagen VI deficiency is a rare, serious and fatal disease for which there is currently no cure. A degenerative, genetically based disease that affects children and which, from birth, produces a very significant muscular atrophy with a very rapid progression in a very short period of time, where the ability to breathe is greatly affected.

The project, "Natural History, Diagnosis and Treatment of Congenital Muscular Dystrophies due to Collagen VI Deficiency: CRISPR-Cas9" aims to cover all the precariousness surrounding this disease, in terms of research, diagnostic and prognostic tools, National Registry of affected people and Natural History of the disease.

Quum collaborates with the Acumen Fellows Programme

Acumen Academy is the global school for social change of Acumen, an international non-profit organisation. Its mission is to foster a new generation of change agents who have taken up the challenge of solving the most complex challenges. Thus, this III Acumen Fellows Programme in Spain will provide tools and resources that help to develop new solutions and build a fairer, more inclusive and sustainable world. This programme landed two years ago in Spain with the collaboration of Open Value Foundation.

We know that in Spain there are many people committed to leaving a better world than the one they found and working to make it so. Are you one of them? Do you know someone who is? From Quum, within our policy to collaborate with organisations that want to change the worldwe want to be a loudspeaker to find these candidates. We are looking for entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, social dynamisers or public representatives who want to have training tools to change the world.

Until 10 December next, help us to find these professionals who want to change the world and join the 49 fellows in Spain and more than 900 worldwide. They have directly impacted more than 8 million people through job creation or by serving low-income groups with education, healthcare, changing laws...etc. As a collective, these leaders teach that change is possible. They are building models of participatory capitalism and circular economy. They lead school movements and wage peace in post-conflict areas.

Quum and Social Enterprise with social impact companies

Social Enterprise Spain does communication and consultancy to promote the initiatives of social enterprise members of the community. Its vision is for society to include social and environmental value in its consumption, investment and entrepreneurial decisions, for social enterprises to grow and for there to be more social enterprises.

Social Enterprise Spain is the platform that makes up the community of the best social enterprises in our country. Social enterprises are organisations that sell products and services to fulfil their social and environmental mission. Unlike traditional corporate social responsibility, social enterprises are born with a social purpose. They do not complement their economic activity with sustainability actions, but their social mission is what motivates their existence.

Among the member organisations of Social Enterprise Spain are, for example, Auarawhich sells bottles of mineral water and uses its profits to fund water access programmes in poor countries; Ecoalfwhich sells clothing made from materials created from plastics or tyres taken from the sea; or Change.orgthe world's largest petitioning platform. Also noteworthy are the incubators Ship2B in Barcelona, Social Nest in Valencia or Unlimited in Madrid, which accelerate and invest in social enterprises, universities such as ESADE, or investors such as the Open Value Foundation.

Quum has worked with Social Enterprise España since the idea for the project was born, creating and developing the brand and defining a line of action and evolution for its development in the community. United by the same social and environmental concerns, both teams believe it is important to commit to projects that have a social background, a positive impact. Quum carries out communication actions so that Social Enterprise España influences society and creates strategic alliances that benefit member companies, making them known and helping them to develop their activity, in order to weave a network of collaborations that benefits everyone.

Quum has also provided training to employees in the different areas of communication and a few weeks ago, Quum collaborated with the meeting "Investing in Social Enterprises" presented by Open Value Foundation (linked to Cobas AM) and Social Enterprise Spain. Together, they will work to enable social enterprises in the community to present new projects to investors and promote innovative business models that seek to solve social and environmental problems.
