Reporta Report

Raising standards of accountability

Today, transparency, commitment to sustainability and corporate responsibility are necessary conditions for operating and are increasingly valued by investors and regulators, but when we decided in 2010 to launch a tool to assess the quality of companies' financial and non-financial reporting, it was a pioneering decision and one that anticipated the crucial importance that accountability has taken on.

Thus was born Informe Reporta, a rigorous and detailed evaluation tool that analyses the quality of the corporate reporting of the companies listed on the Madrid Stock Exchange's General Index. The analysis is based on 33 indicators grouped into four principles: Transparency, Commitment, Relevance and Accessibility. Each is designed to ensure that companies not only comply with their legal obligations, but also go beyond them, providing clear and useful information to all their stakeholders.

Informe Reporta has been a stimulus to raise reporting standards among Spanish companies. With a feedbackbased on our indicators have improved the quality and accessibility of their information, benefiting companies in terms of compliance and recognition. It also reinforces the confidence of investors and other stakeholders in companies' commitment to transparency and corporate responsibility.

We also produced an executive conclusions report analysing reporting trends in the coming years.

"The analysis is based on 33 indicators grouped into four principles: Transparency, Engagement, Relevance and Accessibility."

Our team coordinates an independent, multidisciplinary group of analysts to review and evaluate annual reports. This ensures that each report is thoroughly analysed, assessing the quality and completeness of the information presented. An overall and sector ranking is created. In addition, we provide customised reports to companies wishing to improve, offering recommendations based on the results of the assessment.
