It is a Spanish company with a presence in 17 countries, a benchmark in the automotive sector and listed on the Spanish stock exchange, and therefore has to comply with increasing regulatory requirements in the area of sustainability and continue to make progress in this area due to its own conviction and corporate culture of commitment to society and the environment.

Quum Comunicación (formerly Deva Comunicación Financiera) has accompanied CIE Automotive on this path of continuous improvement in environmental, social and good governance performance, as it has been producing this report for over 20 years, making each year a challenge to come up with ideas, strategy and innovation when making a new proposal.

In preparing and disseminating the CIE Automotive (CIE) Annual Report 2023, Quum has the following main objectives:

That all content is in line with the requirements of the Non-Financial Reporting Law and aligned with the main reporting standards and sustainability ratings: Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), CDP, Ecovadis, Moody's, MSCI, Sustainalytics, among others, and anticipates to a large extent the requirements of the new CSRD Directive.
The report should be relevant to the company's ESG efforts.
And at the same time create a report with an accessible narrative and tone for deployment to stakeholders.

In order for the Annual Report to be used beyond the day of the publication of results and the General Shareholders' Meeting, and also to reach CIE's different stakeholders in a more direct and attractive way, Quum proposes a dissemination plan that includes the following materials and formats:

Summary video of the 2023 Annual Report: this includes the company's main results for 2023, including ESG aspects. This video is highlighted on the CIE homepage, included on the summary microsite and can also be used for dissemination on social media.
Microsite summary of the 2023 Annual Report: a web page is published that includes the main results of the company during 2023, including ESG aspects and following the same order and style as the Annual Report (PDF). The PDF can be downloaded directly from the microsite and the summary video can also be viewed.
Stakeholder mailing: adaptation of the format for sending to databases of shareholders, employees, customers, etc.

CIE Automotive was recognised in reporting such as in 20222 when the Spanish Association of Accounting and Business Administration (AECA) recognised CIE Automotive in 2022 with an honourable mention in the XXI AECA Award for Business Transparency for the "Greatest improvement on the previous year", in the category of "IBEX-35 listed companies".

In 2023, CIE Automotive maintained its second position in the XIV Informe Reporta ranking for its 2022 Annual Report, a study that measures the quality of the information that companies included in the Madrid Stock Exchange General Index (IGBM) make available to their stakeholders. It once again leads both the ranking of 'Non-Ibex 35' companies and that of the 'Basic Materials, Industry and Construction' sector. It is worth noting the positive performance of CIE Automotive's Annual Report, which has risen from 51st position in 2014 to reach 2nd position in 2022 and 2023.
